AlfaLog is a sport-shooting training app created by Johnny Soto Severino in the Dominican Republic. Here is, without fine print, what data it uses and why.

Your data lives on your phone

Your logbook, runs, guns, matches and settings are stored on your phone. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising and the app has no ads. You can export or delete it anytime from Profile.

If you're in the private beta

Invitations are personal and work on a single phone: for that we keep a cookie on your phone and your invitation code. As a tester, when you're online the app sends us a summary of how you use it so we can improve it: your settings (name, disciplines, level, goals), which screens you open, how much you train, your guns (without serial numbers) and the questions you ask the coach. We don't send your notes or anything outside the app, and your photo only leaves your phone if you show it in the community.

The AI coach

When you ask a question, we send your question and a summary of your training data to Anthropic (Claude), which gives us the answer. That content is used only to answer you.

The community

Joining the community is optional. If you join, we keep your card: the name you enter, your photo (only if you choose to show it), your country, city, club, what you do (shooter, judge or organizer), your disciplines and your level. Other members can see it, unless you choose "Only my friends": then only your friends and the organizers of matches you register for can see you. We also keep your friendships, who you block, your registrations, the matches you announce and the results organizers publish (your place, your score and each stage), so they reach your logbook. An organizer can only send results to their friends and to people who registered for their match. If you leave the community (Community → Edit → Leave the community), we delete your card, friendships, registrations and results. You can block or report any person or match.

The waiting list

If you request an invite on alfalog.app, we keep your name, email, country and what you shoot, only to invite you and write to you about AlfaLog.
